“Sue, tell me about your license plate!” inquired a lady in my gym class this past Wednesday. Years ago, my husband had this license plate made for me as a surprise birthday gift. He knew that I Peter 2:24 was not only a core Scripture for my life but for the Camarillo Healing Rooms which I had been directing.
So many people are aware of the first part of 1 Peter 2:24 – that Jesus bore our sins; but, they are unaware of the second part – that Jesus bore our sicknesses. When did Jesus take our infirmities and bear our sicknesses? (Matthew 8:17) Through the work of the cross.
Having this personalized license plate, has been a constant reminder for me to live in and from this Truth that I was healed (past tense) by Jesus’ stripes. Just as I can choose to step inside of my car, I can choose to step inside of I Peter 2:24, God’s Word of Truth for me (and for you), and to dwell inside of God’s Kingdom reality.
Today, 1 Peter 2:24 is God’s invitation to you. You can step inside of its reality and live in and from this glorious Truth for your life. Today, is the day of your salvation – the day of your healing. (2 Corinthians 6:1-2)
