To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:19
God’s love for you is as vast as the galaxies in the skies above. How extensive are the galaxies? As the technology of the telescope improves, the number of counted galaxies is rapidly moving from a hundred billion to two hundred billion to a trillion galaxies. God’s love for you is like this. It so immeasurable that you will be discovering its width, length, depth, and height for all eternity.
How can I best describe the kind of love that God has for you? The word that comes to my mind is “SUPER-Natural.” Why? Because in God’s love letter to mankind, His Holy Word, you are able to see that God’s love goes goes so far beyond your natural thinking and natural abilities and ways of expressing love that it supersedes all types of love this world offers.
SUPER-natural love is God’s core identity – the essence of Who He is and how He operates. And, as a believer in Christ, God’s “SUPER-natural” love is your core identity and calling. Not only has God’s “SUPER-Natural” love been poured out into your heart by the Holy Spirit (Rom. 5:5), but you are called to release His “SUPER-Natural” love wherever you go.
As a believer in Christ, God’s “SUPER-natural” love is your core identity and calling.
Jesus made a statement to His disciples based on His understanding of God’s “SUPER-Natural” love. He said, “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” Matthew 10:7-8
Then, in the upper room before Jesus was crucified, He said something even more surprising to His disciples, which He is also saying to you right now. Jesus said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” John 14:12
The more you wear God’s heavenly prescriptive lens, the lens of what the blood of Jesus Christ has already done for you, the more you will “know the love of Christ which passes knowledge” and the more you will overflow with God’s limitless extravagant love to the world around you.
Declare God’s Word: I am made in the image of God’s SUPER-Natural love. This is my destiny and my calling. I am called to “heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, and cast out demons.” I am called to do the ‘works’ and ‘greater works’ of Jesus.
