Who satisfies your mouth with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s. Psalm 103:5
In an impossible situation years ago, a friend gave me a beautiful “gift box” inscribed with the words “With God All Things are Possible Matthew 19:26.” I have kept the box as a reminder that God is the One Who made all things possible for me through Jesus Christ. And what He did for me, He will do for you, because that is Who God is?
In Psalm 103 God instructs you and I to “forget not all His benefits,” which are God’s magnificent gifts of salvation for every need you would ever have. Because of His great love for you, He purchased these gifts through the shed blood of His Son Jesus Christ. You don’t often think of a gift as being a “Who,” but that is how these gifts are listed.
Psalm 103:3-5
Who forgives all your iniquities
Who heals all your diseases
Who redeems your life from destruction
Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies
Who satisfies your mouth with good things
SO THAT YOUR YOUTH IS RENEWED LIKE THE EAGLES
Note that there are 5 gifts. The number five symbolizes God’s grace, His favor and goodness towards you and i. When you combine that knowledge with the pronoun “Who” which proceeds each gift, you will clearly see that Jesus Christ is God’s priceless gift of grace given to you. In Christ you will find every need of yours being met. (Phil. 4:19)
One of the most crucial application steps is commanding your soul to bless, to thankfully come into agreement with “Who” Jesus is, no matter what your circumstances are screaming at you.
God desires to renew your life through His Son Jesus Christ and all His grace gifts, so that you can be transformed into His likeness and image. But, these gifts won’t do any good sitting inside of a “gift box.” You have to take them out and apply them to your life for the renewal process to begin. One of the most crucial renewal steps you can take is commanding your soul to bless the Lord, to thankfully come into agreement with “Who” Jesus is, no matter what your circumstances are screaming at you.
Declare: “Now, at this very moment in time, I thankfully receive the fulness of Jesus Christ as God’s gift to me. I am forgiven of all of my sins; healed of all of my diseases, redeemed from the pit(s) of destruction, crowned with God’s love and mercy, and satisfied with good things. Everyday i am getting stronger and healthier in my soul – my mind, will, and emotions – and in my body!”
