“NOW” I AM HEALED

I Peter 2:24 Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the three, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness – by whose stripes you were healed.

In the Old Testament God introduced Himself with one of His redemptive names, Jehovah Rapha – “I am the Lord Who heals you.” Exodus 15:26. In the New Testament, Jesus, the One Who is “the image of the invisible God,” perfectly demonstrated that God is “Jehovah Rapha,” the greatest physician, by healing “all who were sick.” (Col. 1:15, Mt. 817)

30 years after Jesus’ crucifixion, Peter in his letter to the Christians quotes the prophetic word of Isaiah 53 of what Jesus would accomplish through the cross.  But, in doing so, under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit Peter changes the present tense of Isaiah 53:5 “By His stripes you are healed.” to the past tense “By His stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

Forever God’s  Word has been settled in heaven. (Ps. 119:89) In heaven, I Peter 2:24 has been settled. “By His stripes you were healed.” You do not need to put your healing into the future, because God has put it into the past tense. 1 Peter 2:24 is God’s “NOW” Word for you! (2 Cor. 6:2)

Declare God’s Superior Reality for Your Life:
According to 1 Peter 2:24, by Jesus’ stripes I was healed – past tense. I don’t need to put my healing into the future, because God put it into the past. NOW, no matter what my symptoms may be saying, I take my place “in Christ,” as one who has been healed. Thank-You Jesus for bearing my sickness, diseases, and pain through Your stripes, so that I would not need to bear them.
