What do you appreciate about Camarillo Healing Rooms?
Kathy shares: I appreciate that the Camarillo Healing Rooms has made me feel received and safe! My requests for prayer are taken seriously and I know I am lifted up in prayer for more than one day. The focus is not what we understand about my complex situation or pain, but rather the privilege we all have to go to God’s throne of grace together and to discover what He has for me and my unique situation.
How have you been helped through the ministry you have received?
It has been very difficult for me to allow the Lord to take the scales, if you will, off the eyes off my heart …. until I finally recognized it was a simple transfer from displaced love that belonged to Him. From there God has continued to present me with more and more simple truths from His Word, which He has gently used to help transform my heart and mind, without me feeling betrayed or fearful of Him. Even just one of these truths could fill up an entire book.
At first I thought I was alone in this journey. But, I have been most encouraged when I’ve come to Camarillo Healing Rooms to find out that I am not alone and that I’ve already been prayed for. It is as if they are continually reaching out with their arms and saying, “We are here to walk with you.” This has meant so much to me!
You see, I care for someone who cannot care for herself; she is my daughter and her road is harsh. In caring for her, I can now see the Lord’s hand caring for me. Whether she or the care is understood or not, I am helped by the kind and often wordless support I continually have received from CHR, two team members in particular, as well as the others, who have met me and walked with me on this road. I am strengthened by their words that come from the Lord and by the joy of the Lord we commune in.
In Romans 12:2 it says “Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” He has taken His fine-tuned repair kit to work first on my heart and then on my mind, transforming me little by little from brokenness to wholeness in Him! I know that the Lord brought me to Camarillo Healing Rooms and He has begun and is continuing to do a good work in me! I do not know how to thank CHR enough!
