Received Help in Toughest Time of Life

Someone who has come to the Camarillo Healing Rooms for the past 5 months shared the following:

The person shared: “I remember when I first came to the Camarillo Healing Rooms this year via their online ministry. The prayer minister was really nice and full of love. She said, “Don’t worry. We will help you get through this.” And, that is exactly what has happened for not only myself, but my entire family, as they have partnered with us through one of the toughest times of our lives.

Before I came to the healing rooms, my life was such a mess. I thought God was mad at me. I grew up in church, but I did so many things that I knew were wrong. I had my children without being married, and I was smoking pot, using bad words, and lying. I would ask God over and over again for forgiveness, but because of the guilt and shame, I never believed He truly forgave me. So, I would cry out all day long, “Lord, forgive me! Please!”  Because of the adverse circumstances our family was facing, even when I wasn’t doing anything wrong, I felt like I must be doing something wrong.

I cried out to God, “Help  me! I need help! Send someone to help me!” I don’t know what to do. I knew I had fallen from God’s will and way and I needed help and my family needed help. Psalm 88 expressed the cry of my heart to God. “ O LORD, God of my salvation, I have cried out day and night before You. Let my prayer come before You; incline Your ear to my cry for my soul is full of troubles…” (Ps. 88:1-3) God heard my heart cry and sent me to the Camarillo Healing Rooms.

What I have learned these past 5 months:

Forgiveness: I thought I knew it all, but now I realize I have so much to learn. I have learned that I don’t have to ask God over and over again to forgive me of the same thing. I have learned that when I ask God to forgive me of something that He completely forgives me and that I don’t have to carry the guilt and shame of that sin. I now can explain this to my children, so that they can grow up knowing that God forgives them too.

Power of God’s Word: I have learned that I need to watch what I say, because death and life are in the power of my tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) Both my wife and I took Sue’s online teaching class on Activating the Power of God’s Word. Through this I now realize that God’s Word is both our offensive and defensive weapon for everything we face in life. We are declaring Scripture more and more over ourselves and our family. And, as a result, we have seen a big improvement in our relationships with one another and the things we are facing. Not everything is perfect, but we know how to fight the good fight of faith.

God’s Love: One of the most important things I have learned is that God loves me! I am that one lost sheep that Jesus went after as described in Luke 15. “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing…I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine just persons who need no repentance.” Luke 15:3-7

I used to feel so scared, sad, and lost because of everything that I was going through and everything that was going on in my home. I would be up all hours of the night. My family had no clue what I was going through. A church member told me that my wife and I needed to make an appointment with the Camarillo Healing Rooms and that they would help us.

I was like, “Okay, I am scared.” My church friend said, “Don’t be scared. It’s going to be good for both of you.”  So, I made the appointment. It was the best thing I ever did for myself, my wife, and my family.

Valuable Lessons: Through being ministered to over the last 5 months, I have learned so many valuable lessons about how to be a good father and husband, how having a good relationship with my family is better than having everything done right or having my way. I am learning how to receive God’s love and give that love to my family. My family and I are happier overall as a result, although we still have some tough days.

May our Lord, bless the entire Camarillo Healing Room team for helping us to break free from the lies we have believed and to begin to walk more and more in the true knowledge of who God is and who He has made us to be through His Son Jesus Christ. I love the Camarillo Healing Rooms team! Thanks!

Written Testimonies

The word “testimony” actually comes from a Hebrew root word, which means to “repeat” or “do again.”  Revelation 19:10 says, “The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.” These shared testimonies of what Jesus has done prophesy your breakthrough, the healing or miracle you need. What God did for these people, God is willing to do for you!
