What is a healing room?
The
Camarillo Healing Rooms ministry is a group of trained Christians
from various churches within the Ventura County Area. These
volunteer ministers gather together to offer effective healing
prayer for the spirit, soul and body. Each ministry room is
staffed with two or three trained ministers who provide a loving,
safe, confidential environment where people can come seeking
help.

Does healing prayer really work?
Scripture and experience
shows that healing prayer does work for people today. Before His ascension,
Christ gave a great commission to his Church stating, “These signs will accompany those who believe…they will place their
hands on sick people and they will get well.” (Mark 16:17-18) Healing
accompanies believing prayer! But the Bible also tells us that Jesus healed
so that people would believe. Very often those watching when healing is
‘experienced’ by others are the first to repent and ask Jesus into their
life (Mark 16:20).

|
Is healing only for the physical body?
The
Bible makes reference to the healing of the spirit, soul and
body of people. When someone experiences a healing in one of
these areas, then that experience opens up their further receiving
healing in other areas of their life. God wants to heal the
whole person!

What typically
happens during a healing room session?
The four-point graphic on the front of our webpage illustrates the
process each person will walk thru when they arrive.
First, you are to
sign-in with the receptionist. If this is your first time visiting
our facility, you will be asked to fill out a registration form.
From then on, this form becomes a prayer list which is appended
to each time our team members pray for you.
Next, you will find a place in
the waiting area. This waiting time is an opportunity for the Lord to
minister to you Himself through the live worship that is happening. The
usual wait is between 30 and 60 minutes.
When the next available ministry
team is available, your name will be called and you will be escorted back
to one of the healing rooms for a brief discussion of your need and prayer.
Please keep it brief for the team is on a 30 minute schedule for each
client.
Lastly, you are encouraged to
submit a testimony form of any results you experience after the prayer
time. You can obtain a form from the receptionist, print
one out from our website or simply send us an email directly.

What kinds of people
typically seek out a healing room ministry?
People who have a need to be healed will seek out any option to
fulfill their need. How do people find out about the Healing Rooms
ministry? Mainly, they hear about it by word-of-mouth. Studies have shown
that most people do not go anywhere simply because they are not invited.
|
|
Do
you have to be a Christian to come for healing prayer?
Not at all. We
are inviting all people with a need to come.
|
|
What
would you say to people who say the only way to cure a disease
is through medicine, science or technology?
My response to them would be,
‘come and see!’ People can always challenge what the Bible says. These same
people find it difficult to challenge someone’s testimony of personally
being healed through believing prayer.
|
|
What
is your opinion on the role medicine (pharmaceuticals) and science
play in treating people’s illnesses?
God’s grace is received
throughout the world in many different ways. Many missionaries have been
sent out in the past as trained doctors. In this way they gained access to
other nations that held cultural restrictions regarding Christian ministry
within their borders. Doctors can correctly diagnose
illnesses and infirmities as well as prescribe medication that aids the
body’s recovery process, only God can heal. Honest physicians will
acknowledge that they cannot heal anyone directly. Medical studies have
shown that a high percentage of sick people who pray or receive prayer will
recover, and sooner, than those who refuse prayer.

Why
do you not charge for your services?
Jesus stated, “Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise
the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely
give.” (Matthew 10:8)

Can
anyone be healed at the healing rooms, or must they believe
in God and the healing room process?
Healing will follow those who
believe! There are numerous illustrations of this principle found in the
Bible as well as testimonies from people living today. People who hold a
personal faith in God and his word can receive healing; they can also pray
for others who may not have faith to be healed.
The story from Mark 2:5,11,12 teaches us, “When Jesus saw THEIR faith (the people who brought the
person), he said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven.”,,, “I
tell you, get up, take your mat and go home.” He got up, took his mat and
walked out in full view of them all. This amazed everyone and they praised
God, saying, “We have never seen anything like this!” His friend’s faith
started the process whereby the paralytic received his healing.
There is an awesome promise in the Old Testament as well. Isaiah 57:19
reads, “Then words of praise will be on their lips. May they have
peace, BOTH NEAR AND FAR, for I will heal THEM ALL,” says the LORD.” God’s
desire is to heal all!

|
What
happens to people who truly do believe but are not healed in
the healing rooms?
The healing power
of Jesus is a ‘principle’ that does work when mixed with Godly
faith! But not every ‘method’ will work. Healing team members
will administer what they hear from the Holy Spirit. This does
not always bring about the expected results. But it is usually
our ‘expectations’ that fail and not God’s answer to our prayer.
Believe the healing has started and don’t hold God to a timeline
for delivery. You will likely discover later that you, in truth,
were healed by that prayer!

session will last about 30 minutes.
|
|
Are very many people
being healed through this ministry?
A high percentage of people do receive relief within a short period
of time after being ministered to. Others return for further
sessions until their healing is completed. Some are healed after the prayer
session or waiting to be prayed for. For
further answers to this question, please visit our TESTIMONIES

If I'm not healed
after I'm prayed for, what should I do?
God’s healing power will enter your body through believing prayer.
The healing process has started even though there may not be an outward
manifestation. Begin to thank God for your healing even if you don’t ‘feel’
anything different. Thanksgiving to God can complete an incomplete healing.
Let the Holy Spirit have time to work. Having done all we know, we then
stand in faith!
|
|
How often can I
come back for more prayer?
As often as you like. You might also consider visiting the other
healing rooms in our general area. Each of them have different days and
hours in which they are open so you have a good chance of finding one when
you need ministry.

What should I do
if I feel I'm healed when you pray for me, but later on my healing
goes away?
Remember this simple statement, “Healing
takes persistence!”
You will need persistence if you
are seeking your healing because the devil (and your own natural way of thinking)
will challenge the reality of every blessing God offers you. You must have
a stubborn faith that will not back down from believing that what God says,
He has done FOR YOU!
You will need persistence after
you have been healed because doubt and lying symptoms will pop up later and
attempt to convince you that you really were not healed. You must learn to
stand (contend) for your healing!
You will need persistence if you
are praying FOR someone to be healed. Only Jesus held a 100% success rate
for healing prayer. But the more experience you gain through ministering to
others, the more people you will see be healed!
|
|
How can I learn
more about God’s ministry for healing people today?
An excellent opportunity to learn would be to attend the Sunday
evening training
sessions. These classes are open for anyone seeking to know and
experience more of God’s healing power. Online resources can also be found.
|
|
Should I stop taking
my prescription drugs after I have been prayed for?
Those who minister in the healing rooms are not doctors and therefore
cannot instruct anyone to either stop or start taking prescription
medication. To do so would be practicing medicine without a license which
is against the law!
|
|
Should I receive
Healing Rooms prayer ministry while outside of the designated
room areas?
Believers are always encouraged to bless each other wherever they
may be. But those covered under the Healing Rooms ministry will always
minister within a designated room area. There will always be at least two
ministers present when dealing with clients. One-on-one parking lot
ministry is discouraged and should not be considered part of the Healing
Rooms model for ministry.

How can I tell
the difference between the Holy Spirit’s conviction and Satan’s
accusation?
A simple principle to remember is this, Holy Spirit always emphasizes the
sin and repentance to rid you from the specific sin and its effects. Satan
will always emphasize that you are a sinner!
This scripture illustrates the loving but authoritative character of God’s
conviction, “…but You have lovingly delivered my soul from the pit of
corruption, for You have cast all my sins behind Your back.” (Isaiah
38:17b) Conviction should cease once repentance and any restitution has
been made! On the other hand…
The name ‘satan’ literally translated, means ‘accuser.’ That name is an
open reflection of his nature. The following scripture offers more exposure
of Satan’s character, “…for the
accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has
been cast down.” (Revelation 12:10b) Satan will continue his attempt to
accuse you of sin and failure even after you have dealt with it before God.
Don’t believe his lie! Stand in confident faith that sincere repentance
does bring forgiveness and cleansing. Read 1.John 1:7
